Sleeping Bag for Kids ![]() I remember as a kid going camping and sleeping in what seemed to me at the time to be an enormous adults rectangular sleeping bag. It was big, draughty and red. My feet didn't reach anywhere near the end and I was cold in it. Well times have changed and kids sleeping bags are now available from a lot of manufacturers. Given those early experiences, it's probably been a bit remiss of us to ignore kids all this time, but we've finally added a kids sleeping bag to the stock list. It's 2-3 season and is a good value sleeping bag. We know it's good - our kid's got one, and two of his mates do too.
Comments:
The price is OK I guess since you have to buy a new bag every year cause your kid is growing out off it :) I was also reading in an outdoor mag this week (think it was OCC a trade mag) about mummy bags - so a parent can sleep in a bag with the kids. What will they think off next? Choosing a bag for kids is far easier than adults in my experience. So long as they've spent the day running around enough they'll sleep! I think alot of parents dont want to shell out on a sleeping bag that is the correct size for their child (a snug fit will eliminate those cold spots!) so they buy sleeping bags too big, or put them in adult bags. A good solution for this that some of the manufacturers have picked up on is zip-out extendible footwell's, increasing the length of the sleeping bag as necassary. << Home |
